So if you haven't noticed yet, i love my little pony lol
Even though i was a social kid, i didn't have a lot of friends. I remember the feeling of longing after having someone to call my bff, but it was as if no one my age was searching for the same connection and closenes as me. (I swear I'm not like the other girls skdkskl)
A friend showed me this album, and i think it changed my life. The song -Other Twilight- is an accurate represantation of the longing for friendship and the struggle in finding one.
FAV SONG: Other Twilight/ Blue(Flightcamp)
GENRE: Electronica
Teenrage = Scenerage?
Uhhh.. I don't know what to say. Almost 2 hours of speed up bangers, filled with ugly teenage thoughts :3
FAV SONG: Vomit in the bathroom demo/ARVA
GENRE: Happy Hardcore/Hands Up/Nightcore
I use music to cope with dysphoria (try it it works!)
which is porbably also the reason why i'm such a big hyperpop enjoyer.
"I don't know which thing
about me is worse
The way i wanna be a girl,
or how i wasn't at first"
Like even though i'm not a girl, that's so relatable
(I LOVE TRANS PEOPLE AND THEIR MUSIC)
FAV SONG: HARP + PONY
GENRE: Hyperpop
My now friend and used to be girlfirend used to listen to this artist. So on her birthday i made a few patches for her, including a Harley Poe one. I like to listen to the music of the patch i'm making, so that was my first interaction with Harley poe. Since then i've listened to the entire discography and made a few patches for myself >:P
FAV SONG: Music for Teenagers
GENRE: Folk punk
My roomie and friend, back from my boarding school times, had a CD collection. We were not allowed our phones at night so it was in many ways a crucial part of my schoolyear. They had this album as CD, so that wa smy first introduction to Echo % The Bunnymen. I've listened to them a lot since and still enjoy it very much
FAV SONG: zero
GENRE: Post Punk/New Wave
Do i even have to say anything... we all know the cure is great.
If you disagree with this i would love to personally tell you that you're stupid
FAV SONG: The Lovecats
GENRE: Post Punk/New Wave
This album is from the anime NANA, which i used to watch with my boarding school roomies. It's been a few years since then, and i'm not the type who get's nostalgic. But every once in a while i like to listen to this album and enjoy, some of the fucked up memories i have from all the shit that happened on that school.
FAV SONG: zero
GENRE: J-Rock
Okay i am a liar. The title of this Album is actually: "Friendship is Magic: Songs of Ponyville"
But the thing is all the song in the show are absolute bangers, so i decided to include them all >:3
I'm not usually a big fan of cartoon characters singing but as My little pony is my all time favorite show, i can't say that i don't enjoy it. ALSO WHY IS "THIS DAY ARIA" SO GOOD??!!!
FAV SONG: This Day Aria
GENRE: Pop/Soundtrack
I feel like a missed a lot of the "growing up as a german teen" expiernces, with moving countries and all that.
This album brings me back

FAV SONG: All Hail/Do Wrong Right
GENRE: Folk
This album is mostly here because of the song "Funeral". As a trans guy i have a very weird realtionship to motherhood, or in my case fatherhood? idk, it's all complicated. This song reminds me of the inhumane pressure there is on anyone raising children. Your literally responsible for another being and everything about them. Their personality, health, future and mistakes.
Also this song is great :)

FAV SONG: Sarcasm
GENRE: Emo/Alternative Rock
...
FAV SONG: Drogen statt Jesus
GENRE: Punk/Acoustic
This album, and especially the song 'Goodboy', reminds me of a lot of things, most of which i wish i could forget. It reminds me of myself and all the hurt there is in meeting the "big bad dog".
This is the ultimate shitty relationship realization album
FAV SONG: Goodboy
GENRE: Lo-Fi, Art Rock
I never realized Ravepunk existed, but my life makes so much more sense after discovering it. It's like the perfect blend between beats that fry your brain to the moon, and texts that make you want to reconsider all your life choices.
This album is not the most hardcore-techno-punk stuff i've discovered, but it's still a solid in my opinion :P
FAV SONG: Fridays for Future
GENRE: Ravepunk
...
FAV SONG: Ur Vampire
GENRE: Scenecore/Electropop
If you have never listened to Dariacore you're really missing something. I don't know if it's something important, but it's definetly something.
This shit makes my brain go completly quiet. Also electronic mashup shit songs are the best

Discovered this album through another album called 'Songs from the Lowdown', which is originally a movie soundtrack from the movie 'Lowdown Tracks'. The movie is about the lives and music of the homeless people of Toronto.
As you can hear, i have been a bit down the rabbit-hole lol
The process of recording and archiving music, that otherwise may never have been heard, is so fascinating and
intriguing to me. I often think about the Lomax Archive, and the documentary of the Lomax family, which is still on my to-watch-list ;P
FAV SONG: My,Oh Me
GENRE: Folk punk/Bluegrass
...
FAV SONG: Pirata Capitán
GENRE: Latin Folk/World/Hip Hop/Reagge
Che Sudaka was my brothers favorite artist growing up. I had never been to a concert before and i remember being extremely jealous when my mom took him out to see them live. Now that i'm older i've started listening to them again, and it's like rediscovering a part of my childhood.

FAV SONG: Witches
GENRE: Folk/Anarcho Punk
...
FAV SONG: B-Haus
GENRE: Kleinkunztpunk/Folk Punk/Folk
I was so tired from my way back from school, that i accidentaly took the wrong train and somehow ended up in copenhagen, which is like 2 hours away from home. I called up some friends and found a place to sleep, borrowed a clean shirt and went straight back to school the next day. The shirt was a 'Therapy?' bandshirt, and i didn't want to feel like a poser so i started listening to the band. To my suprise i actually ended up loving it :D
FAV SONG: Gimme Back My Brain
GENRE: Alternative Rock/Alternative Metal
Just listen to this:
"It's kinda fucking messed up
That I'm forced
Into getting a job
And then to work
For the rest of my life, and then I retire
When I've already been used up"...
"I really need some pay
But I don't wanna slave
Away until I'm dead
Just for a minimum wage
And I don't wanna learn
To become another
Cog which just slowly turns"
Thats relatable as fuck.
FAV SONG: WORKSHY
GENRE: Slacker Rock/Pop Punk
I listen to lots of unpleasant electronic noise, and i had a period in my life where i desperatly wanted that to change XD uuuh that did not age well lol
I think i really struggled with finding some more casual music i enjoyed, because I'm very emotional? Like if i listen to a song that is slighty sad it will make me cry.
This album has the perfect emotional balance :)
FAV SONG: Cracking
GENRE: Psychadelic Pop/Indie Rock
I had this album downloaded on my very first MP3 player. It was some of the only music i had access to FOR YEARS, and i think it played a part in shaping who i am today.
Natasja also sings a lot about growing up in two different countries, and fitting in with the dansih culture and society (wich i have struggled with lol). She has great messages in her lyrics and is in general just a big dansih icon
FAV SONG: Monaco
GENRE: Dancehall/Raegge/Rap
My mom used to play this album for me. I lovingly called it the "music of the green lady". I still love their voice and listen to this album to cheer me up
FAV SONG: Make A Mess
GENRE: American Folk
My brother plays the trumpet. So naturally i never really liked jazz. But then he showed this album to me and i decided that maybe disliking a genre i know nothing about is not the smartest thing in the world. And i ended up really liking this album :)
FAV SONG: Afro Blue
GENRE: Jazz/R&B/HipHop
Another Vylet pony album :3 This one is currently the newest of its music
Ive always loved this kind of electronic music, part dubstep part electronica, but i never knew what it was called, and then i discovered the world of EDM -Elecrtonic Dance Music- And i instantly fell in love
FAV SONG: The Wizard of Wubz(Wub Anthem)
GENRE: synthpop/EDM/Brostep
I honestly still dont know how to pronounce 3HO!3, and im way to stubborn to google it
I think this album for me falls under the category: Socialy acceptable and still good. A category that is in my opinion way to small lol, anyways i love this album
FAV SONG: IMNOTYOURBOYFRIENDBABY / PHOTOFINNISH
GENRE: Crunkcore/Electronic Rock/PopRap
So i moved not too long ago, but before that i lived in a very shitty empty small town. I think i was really miserable there, but the thought of moving scared me shitless. Not because Im not used to it (i move a lot lol) but i was scared of losing the feeling of home? I rarely felt that way about a place. This album reminds me of that scared lovely empty feeling i had in that period of my life, especially this song: - "You don't know just how much
I wish I could stay in this house forever
I don't want to ever leave,
How could I ever live in another
This is where I want to be"
FAV SONG: 10 James Orr Street
GENRE: New Wave
So.. I discovered Crunkcore when i was deep down the scene music rabbit hole, i love the screams and the cringy lyrics and basically all of it
FAV SONG: Jealousy
GENRE: Crunkcore
This banger german punk Album got shown to me, by some old friends, after i moved away from germany. The funny thing is they didnt even understand german and just liked the sound of the album, which only proves that this album is GREAT! It reminds me of home and the german punk scene
(Turns out the people who showed me this album where both really shitty people lol)
FAV SONG: Ich kriege das nicht auf
GENRE: Punk
Okay this album is mostly here because of the -To Kill a Sunrise- song. I LOVE THAT SONG. The rest of the album is also great. It reminds me a lot of daysNdaze, in a good way!
The song is very comforting to me. We cant keep taking life for granted, especially not when death is such a big part of many peoples daily lives - "None of us exist on purpose, were just hurled into this circus The tents collapsing and the ringleaders tired"
FAV SONG: To Kill a Sunrise
GENRE: Folk Punk w. crust influence
The winter 23-24 was a terrible time for me. I lived in a small grey town with no life, my mom was sick and unwell, and i failed at getting my abuser getting kicked out of my school. I found this album whilst all of this was happening. And honestly it helped me gaslighting myself into being happy, which is maybe not the most healthy thing to do, but fuck being healthy when you can be happy
FAV SONG: I Want To Your Joke
GENRE: electronic/IDM/Happy Hardcore
If you have ever been into folkpunk you have most defienetly listened to this album at some point. Days N Daze is porbably THE most popular folkpunk band, and as your average folkpunk enjoyer i also think this album is great
FAV SONG: Post Party Depression
GENRE: Folk Punk
Mite is probably the band which ive seen live the most times. They are my amazing local hardcore band and they have a very special place in my heart.
This is the first album i listened to after discovering them at a local show, they have released a lot of singles and a few albums since then, but this one is till my favorite
FAV SONG: ...
GENRE: Hardcore
I LOVE LOVE LOVE VYLET PONY! Probably my favorite artist atm.
last year i had a whole my little pony EDM/electronica phase, where that specific genre was the only thing i listened to, FOR MONTHS. You can probably still se some influence of that time in this album overview lol
FAV SONG: PROTAGONIST SYNDROME
GENRE: Dance Pop/ Electro
One of the most fun albums in this gallery, electronic... yum delightful
FAV SONG: Oh Oh Oh Sexy Vampire
